Project 1: "The Home with a Thousand Cats"

Location: Kamloops, BC
Challenge: 100% cat domination.

This project started with a lovely older couple who had, well, seven cats. Their home was practically a shrine to felines—cat trees in every corner, fur on every couch, and way too many "Live, Laugh, Love" signs with paw prints. The goal? Stage it to look like a home, not a cat café.

Oh and in full disclosure I LOVE CATS - I have 4 myself *gasp*

What We Did:

Replaced the clawed-up curtains with sleek, neutral drapes that were thankfully not covered in fur.

We hid the 27 scratching posts in the garage (future buyers wouldn’t miss them, trust me).

Used minimalistic décor to distract from the lingering scent of catnip and tuna.

Results: The home sold in three days after staging, and the couple swears the cats are living their best lives in their new home (although one of them was caught lounging in a potential buyer’s lap during the open house).
